12.20.05 - Location Las Vegas
There are only a few more days till Christmas and Hanuakah. I'm not even close on finishing my shopping list. Here is the latest scoop.....Sundance has officially rejected our film. I'm not worried at all because Sundance received 3038 feature film submissions and less than 200 made it. The week before all their final decisions were made they had only accepted 14 American films and 89 foreign. So Sundance just wasn't a fit for us. However, we are still going and showing the film in Park City, Utah the same time Sundance is going on.
Next our Florida trip. Adventure, Adventure and more adventure. We arrived at the BED Lounge in South Beach. It's this exclusive dinning experience where you literally dine on beds. This private club also premeirs films supposingly. When we were testing the film the projector had the film looking very blury and the tech guy couldn't fix it. We started to develope a line out the door. We tested the film for 30 minutes and I just couldn't show our film to this crowd with it being blury. So I cancelled the showing. All of our guests came in and thank goodness it was a club so they opened the bar for us and we had lots of alcohol and followed it up by an incredible filet dinner with exoctic deserts. It was all good. We scheduled the film for the next day, Sunday at another location. It turned out even better because we got to party with our friends for two days instead of one. Hands down the audience loved our film.
Minneapolis Dec. 10, was more than I anticipated. Pepe Willie & Ben Obi rented this fabulous theater downtown Minneapolis, they packed the theater. They had many special friends with them. Kinda the whose who of Minneaplois. Dr. Fink from Prince and The Revolution was there, great guy and he loved our film. There were so many people and once again this film touched there hearts. So many people told me it was there story. I love that.
I'm starting press kits and I need letters from you guys on your thoughts and comments on the film. Then I can take some blurbs and put together a great press kit. Please email me back with your comments.
My family and I are leaving for Puerto Rico Friday for Christmas. We'll be gone for a week and back in time to bring in the New Year in Las Vegas.
