Pat Kerby
began making films in 1980 when he, his brother Kelly, and a group of
close friends started shooting their own films in and around Las Vegas.
Opening Kerby Brothers Productions in 1984 gave Pat the opportunity to
direct many different types of productions, from commercials and music
videos to documentaries and feature films, resulting in his talents becoming
well known and respected in the Las Vegas market. Having worked in nearly
all aspects of production - as a writer, D.P., stunt and special effects
coordinator, jib arm operator, and editor - Pat brought a wealth of knowledge
and experience to his role as Director.
Siren is
Pat's third feature film, but represented a tremendous leap from his previous
work in both the budget and level of creative control. Like the lead character
in the film, Pat had put his dream of directing feature films on hold,
and Siren was a chance to revisit his lifelong passion. " The collaboration
with Michele Fiore-Kaime was incredible. We have great creative energy
together, and it shows on screen."
Pat drew
from his long association with many local professionals in the Las Vegas
area to assemble a dream crew for the production of Siren. "To get the
most out of the budget, I got a lot of my friends to do double duty. I
got the D.P. credit, but the film wouldn't look the way it does without
Dan Owen, Gary Saur, and Barry Green, or sound the way it does without
Chuck Bejarano." The final result is a film that shows every dollar spent
- and then some - on the screen. "These are the projects that you dream
about. A great script, an excellent cast, incredible music, an amazing
crew, and more fun than you can possibly imagine. I'm proud and happy
to have been a part of it."
